Mitali Ruths

Mitali Ruths grew up in Houston, Texas about a mile from NASA. In her freshman year at Rice University, she made it to the semifinals on College Jeopardy! With her knack for trivia, Mitali graduated from Baylor College of Medicine, became “Dr. Ruths,” and did an internship in pediatrics at Texas Children’s Hospital. Then she earned her favorite title ever—Mom.

Mitali has always been an avid reader (bestsellers, classics, mysteries, sci-fi, fantasy, poetry). She’s also kept secret diaries, written essays, and published short stories. Now she lives with her family in Montreal, Canada where she works in cancer care at McGill University, but she writes avidly in the margins of each day.
